Livespot360 has announced the launch of Entertainment Week Africa (EWA), the new identity of what was formerly Entertainment Week Lagos (EWL) to reflect the pan-African ambition, global influence, and growing momentum of the continent’s $58.4B creative economy.

In just three years, EWL grew into West Africa’s most important creative convergence, blending Music, Film & TV, Fashion, AI & Tech, Live Production, and Entrepreneurship into a week-long ecosystem of knowledge exchange, mentorship, and commercial engagement.

“From the start, we envisioned a platform that could match the ambition of Africa’s creatives. Entertainment Week Africa is where policy meets creativity, talent meets capital, and Africa sets its own global agenda,” stated Chief Creative Officer, Darey Art Alade.

In 2025, the summit returns to Lagos from November 18–23 with a dynamic six-day program of panels, performances, film showcases, tech exhibitions, masterclasses, business accelerators, and pop-up experiences. All will take place at the Livespot Entertarium, a vibrant hub for creativity, innovation, youth culture, global cuisine, and nightlife, among other key locations.

“Today, EWA is evolving into the go-to destination for professionals and creatives seeking meaningful connections, unexpected experiences, and ideas that can help shape the world. Just as importantly, it will be a platform for the next generation of African creative talent, and we will be working,” Alade added.

EWA’s 2025 theme, dubbed “Close the Gap”, is designed to bridge divides between creativity and capital, local industries and global markets, and talent and opportunity, ensuring Africa’s creative future is sustainable, scalable, and inclusive.

What to Expect at EWA 2025

The six-day platform will combine knowledge exchange, investment facilitation, and cultural showcases. Core components include:

  • EWA Content Festival
  • EWA Music Festival
  • EWA Fashion Festival
  • EWA AI & Tech Expo
  • EWA Live Production Expo
  • Creative Job Fair
  • Deal Room

Although EWA launches from Lagos, its ambition is continental. Through year-round initiatives such as Labspot Creative Skills & Enterprise Development (Labspot CSED), The Circle, and Gen-Z Republik, EWA will extend beyond the six-day event to equip thousands of young Africans and MSMEs with skills, networks, and investment opportunities.
