Ivy Awino, aka DJ Poizon Ivy, has been named the official All-Star DJ for the 5th time at the 72nd NBA ALL-STAR GAME, set to go down this weekend in Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, in the US.
DJ Poizon Ivy, who is from Kenya but lives in Dallas, uniquely threads the intersection of sports, music, and culture, including working with big brand names like Basketball Africa League, NFL, Twitter, Spotify, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Moët, Google, and Hennessy, amongst many others.

The NBA announced three Nigerian superstars – GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer Burna Boy, 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer Tems and rapper and singer Rema – will headline the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance.
After the performance, the NBA family will honor LeBron James for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader.

In a few short years, DJ Poizon Ivy became the first female mixer to grace the airwaves at WKKV-FM as a V100.7 Mix Squad DJ and Dallas Mavericks’ first female team DJ in franchise history and is the 2nd female DJ in NBA league history to accomplish that feat.
